Day 7

Wednesday was the annual school dance festival! Each grade performed a dance for the entire school and audience of parents. The grades had different themes. Fifth grade did a Renaissance era dance. My favorite was the pre-k kids dancing and the 7th graders robot dance. The school also had two professional dance a 20's style dance at the very end. It was so cool to see the whole school come together for the production, and to see all the parents, too! After the dance festival the fifth grade classrooms went to the playground to play with their "little buddy", someone from the early childhood center that was their mentee. It was so adorable! The little buddy big buddy system is apparently school wide with pre-k with 4th grade, kindergarten with 5th,1st with 6, 2nd with 7th, and 3rd with 8th graders. Following recess, the fifth graders were in a frenzy working on their exhibition pieces. I edited research papers and worked with a group of boys that had an upcoming presentation. Finally I met Anzhe and Qhuan for tutoring at the end of the day.
